Hunt Heroes Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist active duty Servicemembers, National Guard or Reservists of one of the six branches of the United States armed services or their dependents who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Service members of all ages, as well as their dependents and/or spouses, are encouraged to apply, whether they are returning to school or just beginning their post-secondary studies.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. Up to fifteen (15) awards will be granted as follows:
- Four $5,000 awards for 2-year associates’ program or 4-year undergraduate studies.
- Six $2,500 awards for vocational-technical programs or certificates, 2-year associates’ program or 4-year undergraduate studies program, and
- Five $1,000 awards for vocational-technical programs or certificates, 2-year associates’ program or 4-year undergraduate studies program.
Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. Awards are for undergraduate and vocational-technical or certificates study only. To apply for this scholarship, candidates will answer the following questions in 300 words or less:
- How has being a part of the military or part of a military family affected your life?
- What would you like to change in your community and how would you do it?
